Urumqi to Moscow cargo airline opens
(ECNS) -- An air cargo route from Urumqi of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to Moscow was officially opened on Sunday, as a cargo plane loaded with 104.13 tons of goods departed Urumqi Diwopu International Airport and landed in Moscow after 4 hours and 50 minutes。
The Urumqi to Moscow cargo airline was independently organized by Xinjiang Post, aiming to broaden its international transportation network and promote the joint development of the Urumqi Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the airport。
The air route is served by AN-124 or IL-76 transport aircraft with one flight per week, and each flight can carry 110 tons or 40 tons of cargo。
Xinjiang Post will continue to integrate airline, railway and highway resources and improve its warehousing, logistics, and delivery service capabilities。 It will make every effort to build an importanthub for China Post to serve the west and make more contributions to the core Silk Road Economic Belt area。
